Medical Laser Therapy
Dr. Eberlein has many years of experience in the use of various lasers in the medicine. From 1995 to 1996, she was laser safety officer at the Department of Dermatology at the University Hospital in Bochum, Germany, as well as laser safety officer at the BG-Unfallkrankenhaus in Berlin from 2000 to 2001.
Laser radiation is parallel rays of light which have the same wavelength and are emitted in equiphase, thus forming a beam of monochromatic light. Medical use of lasers involves focusing this light of a specific color precisely on or underneath the skin, and there employ in its energy.
The laser systems used in our clinic are the KTP laser for the treatment of vascular changes, and the ruby laser for the removal of tatoos, benign moles and age spots. Both systems are standard and work with only minor side effects, as the ultra-short laser pulses have only a minimum heat effect on the surrounding tissue.
