The ruby laser for the removal of tattoos
The ruby laser is a laser of extremely high efficiency. It operates at a wavelength of 694nm (red light) and it is used for the treatment of dark pigmented skin structures such as tattoos.
The laser treatment removes the tattoos by destroying the skin pigments without causing lasting damage to the upper skin layers. These crushed color particles are then eliminated by the body’s natural metabolism.
The complete removal of professional tattoos requires usually requires five to ten treatments at intervals of about four weeks; fewer treatments are normally required for amateur tattoos.
The ruby laser also allows easy removal of dirt inclusions after abrasions and injuries, as well as of permanent make-up (brown and black colors).
